School Uniform

Five Spires Academy believes that a consistent school uniform is vital to promote the ethos of the school and provide a sense of belonging and identity for all pupils.

We believe that pupils learn most effectively and achieve their best outcomes when they are comfortable, able to be themselves, and dressed in such a way that sets an appropriate tone for education.

The children need comfortable clothing and footwear so that they are not hampered in their activities by worrying about expensive items or having their movement restricted by clothing that is special.

Please note that school uniform is compulsory.

Additional Information

Haircuts should be sensible, neat and clean, without extremes of fashion such as colours, tramlines, patterns, partly shaved heads etc. These styles may be fun and fashionable but are not deemed appropriate for school. Long hair should be tied back discreetly for hygiene and safety reasons.

Apart from stud earrings (one stud per ear) and watches, children may not wear jewellery. For safety reasons, children will be asked to remove any additional jewellery. Children who wear stud earrings will need to remove them on P.E. days.

Nail varnish and make up must not be worn.

Children will need to bring a school bag suitable for reading books, letters etc. everyday.  Book bags with the school logo are recommended as they are lightweight and the right size for letters and reading books.
